Program Basics Specialization International Finance and Banking

As financial markets, products, and transactions become increasingly complex, a good understanding of international finance and banking is essential to function effectively in a management position, either in the financial services industry or in the finance departments of international companies. This module provides participants with an advanced knowledge and understanding of key areas in international finance and banking. Both solid theoretical foundations and practical applications are emphasized. Particular attention is paid to the latest international developments.

Teaching methods in the classroom are based on a good mix of lectures and class discussion, case studies, and group work. All seminars and workshops have a strong practical business focus. Successful completion of this course prepares participants for demanding roles in the financial sector.

Students taking this course profit from advanced theoretical and applied knowledge in the area of international finance and banking.

Admission requirements

  • Graduation from a university, university of applied sciences or higher national diploma course.
  • Completion of semester 1 and 2 of the General Management course and semester 3 in International Management or demonstration of approved previous business knowledge.
  • Candidates have at least an officially recognized English certificate on European level B2 or have successfully passed the free PHW English admisstion test
